Curoo started in a repair shop, not a boardroom.
[FOUNDER NAME] spent years around independent auto repair shops — the kind where the owner is also the best mechanic, the service writer, and the person chasing customers for a callback. The same thing happened in every shop: the work got done fast and done right, and then hours disappeared into paper. The job written by hand. The customer called twice to get the OK. Everything copied again onto an invoice. Then the long wait to get paid.
The cars were never the problem. The paperwork was.
Big chains solved this years ago with expensive software and an IT person to run it. The independent shop got left with a clipboard. That never sat right with us. So we built Curoo — the tool we wished those shops had: it lives on the iPhone already in your pocket, it writes up the job and the customer message for you, and it lets people approve estimates with a text instead of a phone tag.
Simple enough that a busy shop actually uses it. Powerful enough that it saves real hours every week. That’s the whole idea.
We believe the shop floor should run the software, not the other way around. We believe AI should do the boring writing so you can do the skilled work. And we believe nothing should ever reach your customer until you’ve approved it — you stay in control, always.
